A MESSAGE FORM OUR HIVE TO YOURS
We've inched our way through the years, found our nectar in the Filipino-Canadian musicians in Toronto & GTA and have found ourselves overwhelmed with talent (Filipino and non-Filipino alike). Since the cocoon in late '99, Radio Insect Records has been quietly working away, dreaming of growing strong, colourful wings and soaring through the airwaves. (Awww, pretty mental picture ain't it?) Well ... this month we are ready to bust out of our shell with what we've got and slap you up-side-the-head with it! August is an eventful month for us. The hive has been buzzing with activity and we are going to share it all with YOU!

WHAT THE HECK'S BEEN GOIN' ON???

FIRST CD OF THE iDENTITY CRISIS IS FINALLY READY
After 2 years in the making, The iDC's anticipated, first album "Your Girlfriend Thinks I'm Fine", will be finished production and ready for distribution at the start of this month.temp_news_content = temp_news_content &

LOOK OUT FOR FEMALE SNIPER, ARMED AND DANGEROUS
Currently recording, beware of Snipergal! Here from Germany for 5 weeks, Snipergal has held our hive hostage, and has so far recorded 8 tracks out of 10 for her first cd release sometime in 2005. (We are working in record-time my friends! ... Quick! Somebody call Guinness!)... Snipergal ... remember this name ... you'll be able to say ... "I remember when Snipergal just started out ...". She's the next big thing folks!

EVENTS

HOW EXACTLY DOES THE BUZZ OF A RADIO INSECT SOUND?
Well ... right now ... a little bit of punk, alternative rock, r&b, and progressive sounds. Radio Insect Records (RiR), has been growing aggressively and is excited (pee-in-your-pants excited!) to present their first BUZZ concert on Thurdsay, August 5, 2004. This yearly summer event will showcase the talents affiliated with the label. This year, the hive will be in the Opera House, located in Toronto at 735 Queen Street East, where such talents as Bjork, Blur, Billy Talent (to name a few ... ahem ...) have performed. This momentous occasion is a first for many, featuring the first cd release of The iDentity Crisis and the debut of Snipergal. Tickets are $12 at the door and $10 in advance. To arrange for advance tickets please call (416) 721-2591 or (416) 834-4747, or visit www.radioinsectrecords.com. Please view the flyer front/back, below, for more details.
