The concert was great. Kitchie Nadal performed well. I like the beats of the music the local filipino canadian bands has to offer but unfortunately I can barely hear any lyrics. Nakakaawa nga yung vocalist ng Vulto because he was singing on the top of his lungs but wala naman maintindihan na lyrics kasi nasasapawan ng background instruments. Yun lang napansin ko sa mga performance nung local bands but nung kay Kitchie ok naman. The concert was great though. Sana next time nga lang maintindihan na mga lyrics nung mga local bands para maka sing along man lang sa kanta nila. Hindi yung nakatayo lang doon trying to figure out the words that are coming out of their mouths. Yun lang po. Thanks.

THIS ALMOST DIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was last weekend on a late snow storming Sunday after practise and my band this. was travelling to London Ontario about 2hrs away. The storm had started at the beginning of our practise and after the three hours of rocking out tunes we saw the result of this crazy weather as we packed in the car for our journey. I had sat in the back seat with Chino and Darryl drove and Ian as the navigator. I had told some stories as we got onto the highway munching down on the SUN CHIPS oh so good i could go for some more right now! The first story was about a fight that had happended during the week with two of our friends. It was stupid but somehow it involved some of us and it really isn`t that important to talk about here. The second ................ I said " So I went down the EDGE 102.1 Studios to drop off a package for the Canadian Music Week XTREME BANDSLAM COMPETITION on Saturday night. It was about 7pm because poker was about 8pm. Now as I entered the studios I said hello to their beautiful receptionist and she gave me all the info I need to enter the contest and submit the package. As I was filling out the form a man walked in about late thirties bit dirty eating a sandwich that looked like salami and tuna. This is judging by what the mess was on his face. So the guy says " Hey I love Q107 you know I love it you guys rock" and all that sort of shit. " Well actually we’re 102.1 the edge sir" the nice receptionist replied kindly to the drunken wonder infront of her. " Hey do you work here?" the man asked me while putting his hand on my shoulder and I had told him no I`m just dropping of this package. While pulling out my package the bottles in my 6pack rattled away releasing this bell to the drunken wonder who then ask " Can I get a beer of you bro?" . I had told the man that if it were my beer then I would gladly give him one, but the beer in my bag was for my friend and that I could not give him one. The man went on to tell me a joke which was fine but I told him again that the beer is for my buddy and that he would not get one off me. " There is a native man and a black man in the unemployment office..........and eh........" this is the beggining of his joke that he didn`t finish either cause he couldn`t remember it or there was no joke to begin with. Either way he went back to hitting on the receptionist asking her questions " Do you have a boyfriend? What is his name ? Is he a big black guy?" and the receptionist was very pleasant to the man always with a smile, even told the man that she would try to get his request played. " You know that tune hate everything about you.........." the man sang like a Canadian Idol audtioner. Might have a chance! Either way I was like fuck this so I left. As I left and reached the traffic lights near the underground parking lot outside of the edge pretty much there was a red light. The drunken man now had come out and stopped beside me and mutters " We are either going to fight or get arrested". I thought well this guy is fucked up and was anticipating his attack taking off my gloves casualy. Now the light turned green and we both walked parrelel to one another while he is begging me for a beer and this continues for about a block. The man went on to say I live a confortable life and he had nothing " Give me a fuckin beer". His voice raised and I remained calm until the fucker grabs my arm with his sandwich leavins on his dirty cheeks and booze reeking in my face says " you are not FEELING me brother give me a fucking beer". This really pissed me off now and of all the times in my life where I have remained calm during this sort of thing this guy had reached the limit. I do not mind giving money to people who need it I am a genous guy and I organize charity events and volunteer at scott mission once in awhile to help people like this. I asked myself is a beer going to help this guy? Will afew dollars go to food or to feeding his obvious habit? Can I do anything for this person who is grabbing my arm almost forcing me to fight him over a little bottle that will be gone in two seconds and won`t make life any easier? I thought there is nothing I can do. I am not a proffessional in this field to help people like this out but I will begin my studies in September when I go to school for Social Service worker program at either George Brown or Humber. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance at doing something with their lives and some people are so far in the gutter that there is no way of the seeing the light because they are drinking themselves blind. So I raised my voice and said firmly " Sir I cannot help you I will never give you a beer or anything at this point you are not only wasting your time but mine not let go of my arm!" and so he did and as I walked on he called me an asshole. So the band had their thoughts on the story and most of my friends said they would have decked him. I am a very patient person but I think that is also dangerous too. If I didn`t have my music to let my aggression out then I most likely would not have just beat him up I would have killed that drunken homeless man. Thank god for music! So as this. travelled on towards London listening to my Pat Benatar CD rocking to " Hell is for children" we are in the middle of a fucking crazy snow storm. Cars are sliding all over every five minutes and crashes on the side of the highway could be seen every 20 mins. This was nuts. The trip in total took us 4hrs going about 60 - 80 most of the way. Almost crashing into huge trucks and collisions with stupid people speeding during a FUCKING SNOW STORM!!! I mean once we got about 3/4 of the way there we were judgin turns by the lights on the cars infront of us cause we couldn`t see shit cause of all the snow. It was about 1:30pm just estimating when I fell asleep in the back of the car to " hit me with your best shot". Falling into a short wierd dream. I found myself riding a camel on a carpetted bridge in the sky which had no support from anything and was just turning so I had to direct the camel to turn with the bridge or else I would fall off and fall into well...........i don`t know i woke up when i did. I awoke and our car was doing a 1080 degree spin on the fucking highway. A car speed past us almost hitting us and as we spun all I could hear was " Holy fuck holy fucccccccccccccccck!’ " a fucking huge ass Courier truck is coming are way as we just avoid hitting a pole on the side of the highway. Luckily enough we spun into a small ditch. Had it happened an hour back we would have fallen into those huge ass ditches and would have our work cut out for us. The huge courier truck missed us. As we finally stopped a little tilted over in the ditch we all looked at each other and everyone was alright. " Holy fuck" was said about a million times the rest of the trip in reference to our 1080 degree spinning experience. So we arrived about 2:30pm in the morning in London. This town was sounds asleep and so was everyone in the house where our bass player lived. The next day we had eaten at KFC, FASt EDDIES< AND PIZZA PIZZA . What a healthy bands we are. I had the shits as we arrived at Fanshawe college around 8pm and had to wait till 10pm to go on. I had my Pepto so things were cool. Everyone seemed really tired but Chino had a Red BUll and was kickin again. We sat through some local bands who were in the competition and organized are amp hookups with band Stonehaven. As we stepped on stage I don`t think any of the people in the room new who we were. Darryl was the only one who went to the school and he only had classes 6hrs a week. I am sure as we said throughout the show " we are this." "this. is our band name" so it would sink in. And sunk in it did. We were the number one band that night. I thought this is awesome we aren`t even from here and all these people brought out their classmates to cheer them on. London is a kick ass town! I really enjoyed listening to Stonehaven and hope to do more show with them in the future. After we celebrated for afew hours and had to catch our 3am bus back to Toronto. Darryl had an exam so we had to take the bus back. I fell asleep on the bus and woke up when we arrived in Toronto. It was a solid sleep. I cannot remember what I dreamt about.
