Radio Insect Records (RiR) is proud to announce its sixth annual Buzzfest installment to take place soon. Below is the list of bands we're showcasing.

[Circle's Corner] -- Diversity in rock music is Circle's Corner forte. Their RiR's answer to "AC/DC", "Velvet Underground", "White Stripes", and "Led Zeppelin". To identify their music and try to put it in words it would come up as "Vintage-Modern Rock" and maybe somewhere in between. Everytime they play a live set it always turns up to be a treat since not only do they play a wide variety of styles but they never play the same song exactly the same. There's always an element of surprise. Be it in Johanne's seering leads, in Ryan's tightly choreographed stick gymnastics, or Mike's intense rapping, there's a surprise in every performance. Come and see what surprise they would bring at this year's Buzzfest

[Bi-Kneel] -- Bi-Kneel needs no introduction. For years in the local circuit Bi-Kneel has amassed a cult following amongst a diverse group of people in the rock scene. Bi-Kneel's appeal doesn't stop at Dufon's ridiculously technical licks nor Ben's drum assault or Ryan's shredding, not even on Monet's thundering bass. Bi-Kneel's appeal extends to the whole spectacle of them in performance. In usual BK fashion Dufon would wield a complete hockey goalie attire. Dufon makes it look so natural to perform in such an unnatural outfit under the circumstance. As Bi-Kneel's performance goes on you forget about the whole attire issue and begin to adapt to their shock-factor that is uniquely "Bi-Kneel". Come to Buzzfest and get the shock of your life !

[The iDentity Crisis] -- iDC is RiR's crown jewel. Paul Castro a.k.a. "The iDC" has been very busy the past year in all aspects of music and video. Be it production, co-production, cameo roles, composition. etc. His recently released album (already he's 4th) "Breakfast with a Psychopath" is available in iTunes and will soon be followed by another release that is anticipated to be finished by year's end. The iDC's prolific and innovative songwriting efforts was so well heard and revered south of the border that Paul's now being invited by industry big-wigs as "Mute Math" and "Toby Keith's" producer for collaborative projects down south. RiR expects nothing else but bigger things for "The iDC". Catch the iDC live!, only here at the Buzzfest ! ...

[Kaya] -- RiR's proud to introduce it's first Christian inspired band. Although most Christian bands tend to be a bit "preachy" in the process not so with "Kaya". Not that there's anything wrong with that, but "Kaya" will be heard by even the mute of mutes, where no Christian band have been played before, and will reveal its melodic beauty and lyrical prowess from within. Their songs transcend religion and speaks to us as equals. Let "Kaya's" music speak to you. "For the mute will speak ... "

[Kakophonie] -- Freshly formed, Kakophonie answered what a lot of people nowadays have been longing for ... RAGGAE ... a genre so well played and embraced in years past yet absent in recent times will make a big comeback. Behold all you disciples of Raggae and hold on to your rasta locks cause Kakophonie will really mash it up mahn !

[Sounds For Scieris] -- Their level of music know-how and songwriting skill have been the envy of a lot of local musicians. A husband and wife team whose band name incorprates the name of their first born, Scieris. With a recent addition to their growing family "Sounds For Scieris" are even more inspired of late. Immerse yourself and get lost from the sounds bombarded to you by guitar wiz Ona. Immerse yourself in the sounds for Scieris.

[Star-Crossed] -- RiR is proud to announce Star-Crossed debut performance only at this year's Buzzfest. Comprised of 2 ladies and 2 gents "Star-Crossed" delivers catchy emo-inspired riffs and an attitude that's distinctly punk. Feelin' a bit emo ? ... Join us and celebrate "Star-crossed"!

[UpperCase] -- Uppercase is something to behold. They have now been steadily gaining an audience and a following both locally, in Canada, and in the Philippines. Thanks to the internet and Facebook our world is now a lot smaller than before. The group had a recent regrouping of sorts which placed newcomers Allan Lagat on bass, Joey Giagonia on lead guitars, and Daniel Ascano at drums. Together with brainchild Mark De Leon handling vox duties the result begs to be heard. RiR sincerely believes that the latest incarnation "UpperCase" screams mass appeal. A soon to be released debut EP and a music video will be the vessel to which our friends back home will be initiated .. a super-group in the making .. There's nowhere else to go but UP.
